» -William Arthur Ward-
The direction of the wind given to the sails of each sailboat establishes the vision of a new horizon conceivable to evolve in its artistic interior.
The effort and energy to restore the wood to its original beauty and nobility inspired the artist to create boats from driftwood found on the shores of lakes. Lake Memphremagog and Lake Massawippi are her gathering sites. The immensity of the perspective of the maritime landscapes reinforces and fills her unique artistic vision that highlights the sailboat in all its forms.
The symbolism carried by the sailboat through it's medium (driftwood) represents the concept of returning to the source of one's existence in order to create a new path of life.
“The pessimist complains about the wind, the optimist hopes that it will change, and the realist adjusts his sails.” -William Arthur Ward-
